Degrees |
They went that-a-way...

|
Hi, my name is Kim. Welcome to my horse-training profile!
I consider my horse-training degree to be in trial and error, and getting results. My motto is: "Does it work - then do it. If it doesn't work, do something that does."
Email Rates:
$15.00 USD: (1) Question, you will get the basics answered.
$30.00 USD: (1) Question w/ a really long, in-depth answer. (Believe me, I can get really detailed.)
Usually, I am available for live chat after 5pm MST on weekdays, and various hours on weekends. You should receive a response to your Kasamba emails within 24-48 hours. When you send your question or start your chat, please give some background about the horse, what tack you are using, and what kind of facilities or environment you train in.
I always stress safety when training horses. Please use common sense when applying any Horse-Training Advice. Horses are dangerous animals, and extreme care must be taken when working with them. If you do not agree with the Horse-Training Advice given to you, or you feel uncertain about applying it, please use your own best judgement before trying it. You are responsible for your own safety -- as well as that of your horse, your property, equipment, etc.

My Expert Service |
I am more concerned with safety and good results than in being politically correct. To that end, I combine whatever training techniques work for me - whether English or Western. I believe that training starts from the ground-up, meaning good halter manners. Then I progress to longing horses on a longe line (even in a round pen); and riding/training the horse in Dressage in a curb bit - with contact on the bit. (The exceptions to the curb bit are on very green horses just being saddle-broke.) |

Experience & Qualifications |
I operated a horse-training business for several years in Northern California. I trained horses at the owners' houses - in the horses' home environments, in all types of weather and conditions. I love halter-breaking horses or just polishing their manners.
I also showed English/Western/Dressage/Trail in local horse shows; although I must confess I am a trainer at heart, and never really cared a lot about showing.
I ha ve trained many different ages and breeds of horses. While I can advise you on many types of under-saddle work, I'm especially good at ground work. So if you have questions about halter-breaking, halter manners, or longing, I can probably help! |
Nope... they went that-a-way!
