Isn't it great how the hardest times in life can sometimes turn out to be our greatest blessings? Those unbelievably hard times can form and shape us into beautiful individuals, full of compassion and empathy we once lacked. Hard times can offer us a new perspective, it can hold us to the fire, challenge us to mold, break free, and emerge anew. The hard times can either break us, stall us if we get too weighed down in self-pity, or they can bring out our self-sufficiency, our will to survive, our will to fight. Be thankful for the hard times, they give us a chance to prove our marrow, hold us to the flame, and come out better. Hopefully, hard times also give us new perspective to the hardships of others we lacked before and cause us to be more compassionate, empathetic human beings.
What will you do with your hard times? Rise to the challenge, survey what's around you, chart out a course of action and emerge a stronger, better person, one filled with new understanding for others? Or will you be defeated, wallowing in self-loathing, darning your round of "bad luck"?
My heart goes out to all of those going through a hard time. You are loved, you are cared for, you are not all alone in this universe, no matter how much it may seem that way.
Live richly, live abundantly! It is hands-down the best way to make your own life great and to "get back" at those who have caused and wished you harm. Success is bitter to those who don't like you.
